For submission, manuscripts must be submitted electronically using the Open Journal Systems - OJS
system.
The author must go to "Register" in the system and fill out a form via Orcid - Open Researcher and
Contributor,
clicking on "Create or Associate with your ORCID ID".
Your ORCID iD is a free, unique and persistent identifier that you own and control - forever. He
distinguishes himfrom any other researcher across disciplines, boundaries and times. You can
connect your ID with your professional information - affiliations, grants, publications, peer
review and more. You can use your ID to share your information with other systems, ensuring
recognition of all your contributions, saving you time and hassle and reducing the risk of
errors.
The Institute of Health Bulletin (BIS) is a biannual publication of the Institute of Health
of the São Paulo State Department of Health. With a circulation of 2 thousand copies, each
issue has a thematic core, previously defined,in addition to other technical-scientific
articles, written by researchers from the different Research Centers of
the Institute, in addition to authors from other Teaching and Research institutions.
The publication is aimed at a reading public formed primarily by professionals in the health
area of SUS, such as technicians, nurses, researchers, doctors and managers in the field of
Health. Indexing sources: At Capes, BIS is in the areas of Medicine I, II and II,
Environmental Sciences, Nursing, Teaching, Pharmacy, Interdisciplinary, Dentistry and
Psychology. Copyright: partial or total reproduction of this publication is allowed, as long
as the credits of the authors and institutions are maintained.

Abstract: abstracts of articles submitted for publication must be sent via the Open JOurnal System
- OJS. They must have up to 200 words (in Word Times New Roman, size 12, single spaced), in
Portuguese, with three keywords. If the article is approved, an abstract in English must be
provided by the author, under the same conditions as the abstract in Portuguese (in Word Times
New Roman, body 12, with single spacing, accompanied by title and keywords).
Copyright: partial or total reproduction of this publication is allowed, as long as the credits

Abstract: the summary of articles submitted for publication must be sent via the OJS system before
the submission of articles. They must have up to 200 words (in Word Times New Roman, size 12,
single spaced), in Portuguese, with three keywords. If the article is approved, an abstract in
English must be provided by the author, under the same conditions as the abstract in Portuguese
(in Word Times New Roman, body 12, with single spacing, accompanied by title and keywords).
Submission: articles submitted for publication must be sent, in Portuguese, via the OJS system and
have between 15 thousand and 25 thousand characters with a total space (between 6 and 7 pages in
Word Times New Roman, body 12, with single spacing), references are included, except for specific
guidelines from the editors. The file must be sent in Word format in order to avoid communication
incompatibility between different operating systems. Figures and graphics must be sent in separate
files (JPG), in high resolution.
Title: must be written in Times New Roman, size 12, in bold and Ab box, that is, with upper and
lower case letters.
Author: the authorship credit must be on the right, in Times New Roman, body 10 (without bold
and without italics)with a numbered footnote informing your education, academic titles, position
and institution to which you belong. The electronic address for contact (e-mail) must also be
made available.
Subtitles of the text: the subtitles should not use numbers, but only letters, in bold and Ab box,
that is, with upper and lower case.
Body of the text: the body of the article must be sent in Times New Roman, size 12, single spaced
and 6 pts after the paragraph.
Transcriptions of excerpts within the text: must be done in Times New Roman, size 10, italics, with
the author's last name, year and page. All of this information must be placed in parentheses.
Citation of authors in the text: the number corresponding to the listed reference must be indicated
in exponent. It must be placed after the punctuation, where applicable. Parentheses, square brackets
and the like must not be used.
Citations of unpublished documents and not indexed in the scientific literature (reports and others):
should be avoided.If they cannot be replaced by others, they will not be part of the list of
bibliographic references, and should only beindicated at the bottom of the pages where they are cited.
References: preferably, only the bibliography cited in the body of the text should be inserted in
the list of references.
They must be numbered following the order of citation, at the end of the text. Normalization will
follow the Vancouver style.
Spacing of references: must be the same as the text, that is, Times New Roman, size 12, with simple
spacing and 6 points after the paragraph.
Authorization term for publication: the author must authorize, in writing and electronically, the
publication of the texts sent, according to the standards established here. After acceptance for
publication, the author will receive a specific form, which must be completed, signed and returned
to the publishers of the publication.
Obs .: in the case of works that require compliance with CNS Resolution 466/2012, it will be necessary
to present an ethics and research committee opinion.
Evaluation: the works are evaluated by the scientific editors, by invited editors and ad hoc reviewers,
in each edition,according to their area of expertise.
