Projeto Acolhe Mamãe/Bebê Guaçuano

Abstract

The project “Acolhe Mamãe/Bebê Guaçuano” culminated in the decentralization of the Guthrie test that was previously carried out by Santa Casa de Misericórdia and started to be carried out in all Basic Care Units of the municipality of Mogi Guaçu. The Protocol is based on a pre-elaborated roadmap of care and follow-up to be carried out in puerperas and newborns (NB) of the area of coverage of the Health Unit. The implementation of this protocol provides greater integration in the team, strengthening its link with the puerperium and the NB, and, thus, facilitates access to the health service and adherence to follow-up. The project aims to improve adherence from mothers and children in Primary Care Units, in addition to strengthening their link with the health team, reducing complications in the puerperal period, improving adherence to breastfeeding, acting on some problem with lactation, application of Guthrie test and vaccination early, guide the care of the umbilical stump, schedule childcare consultations with pediatrician / nurse, puerperal consultation, and OAE testing, as well as the possibility of early monitoring, prevention and detection of some intercurrence
