Abstract

This work presents a project carried out in the city of Embu das Artes to implement a Health Information Nucleus, with the purpose of subsidizing the decision making of the managers and helping in the planning of the health actions of the municipality. A number of actions were carried out at the health units such as awareness of the importance of information, a conceptual alignment on how to collect data in the most reliable way possible and discussions on the results of the information provided. After this process of awareness and conceptual alignment, reports with health indicators were systematically available to the health units, which led to a democratization of health information and a safety to the managers in their choices of paths and priorities, allowing them to work effectively within the principles of SUS.
