Abstract
The work was done by two speech therapists from the Rehabilitation Center for patients with neurological sequelae in the Municipality of São Vicente and a theater teacher, with a group of ten patients with AFASIA. The project existed from 2009 to 2013, with weekly meetings of two hours, where the expressive forms (verbal, gestural, facial expressions, emotion), memory rescue, evocation, abstraction and externalization of feelings were widely worked. The essays were based on exercises that provided memories, brain associations and stimulated the ability to elaborate and improvise. We explore, basically, the resources of the theatrical technique (such as games, scenarios, body relaxations, reflection on the different forms of communication of our own and others) with a view to expanding expressive possibilities. With the rehearsals came the possibility of participating in amateur theater festivals in the Baixada Santista and, thus, the Viva Life Theater Group for Aphasics was created.
