Abstract
The project “A dose of attention” was created from the experiences of attending users of mental health service, which since 2013 is performed in Basic Health Unities (BHU). Thinking of humanizing the attending and aiming to help these users and their families in the daily use of medication. This paper has been developed since October, 2013, from an invitation to nursing appointment, or visit to the user, in which it is offered help to organize their medications, making, therefore, a customized box from recyclable materials according to each one needs. This box is fulfilled every 5, 7 or 15 days, or even monthly. In special cases, the user receives daily the medications in the BHU. This experience also looks for the correct usage of medications, decrease its abusive usage, and make stronger the link in health service and families, assuring, therefore, a human assistance e quality in basic attention.
