Abstract

According to Eriksen, 1 the 21st century did not begin in 2001 but in 1991, when world geopolitics was trans- formed by the dissolution of the Union of Soviet Socialist Republics, and a new technology began to be commercialized:
the Internet. We are currently experiencing the digital transition, the replacement of electronic, mechanical and analog
technology by digital electronics. At new information and communication technologies are changing all sectors and the behavior of society.
It's called the fourth Industrial Revolution, the Cyber-physical Revolution, in which the physical and the virtual are merging.
