Abstract

This review is focused on “information bubbles” and related topics. Our objective is to identify how these bubbles can affect Health Communications and to propose ideas for scientific research. The phenomenon is complex because it involves both technological
and psychological aspects. The implications of bubbles have been discussed in the context of politics, elections, health and
intolerance in general. The “misinformation” about diseases generated in bubbles promotes real risks to life. Strategies to avoid
the impact of bubbles are also discussed.
