Abstract

To address this issue, it is necessary to consider on two fundamental questions concerning the use of qualitative techniques
in the production of knowledge, a which refers to the debate between quality and quantity in the scientific research, which is
equivalent to the debate between subjectivity and objectivity, and another on the genesis ofqualitative research and
epistemological assumptions that motivated her.
