Abstract
Humanization in Health has assumed different senses in our midst; I will address here the aspect of humanization that emphasizes theneed for attention to subjective and intersubjective aspects present in relationships assistance. The National Program for the
Humanization of Hospital Assistance (PNHAH), created in 1999 by the Ministry of Health, already highlighted the importance of this theme (Ministry of Health, 2001). In 2003, the Ministry, by instituting the National Humanization Policy (PNH), proposes humanization
as a guiding principle for practices of health in all instances of the SUS and recognizes, among other problems, that there is
unpreparedness of the health professionals to deal with the dimension subjective in care practices (Ministry of Health, 2003).
