Abstract

Effectiveness of educational actions in the treatment of myomatosis to reduce the occurrence of hysterectomy was
found in recent research on the theme (SOUZA, 2002). This study, developed between 1999 and 2001, consisted of
monitoring a group of users, black and white, of a public service municipal health service, located in the city
of São Paulo, in the subsequent development of educational actions, videos and workshops, and in the measurement
of their results.
