Abstract
Nothing reminds us of our fragility as much as humans as pain, and can be understood as a of the greatscourges of humanity. She has already been seen in past as an imbalance of vital energy, passion of the soul,
punishment for sinners, form of enlightenment or obtaining divine graces, frustration of desires and bodily
sensation. Descartes described pain as a sensation perceived by the brain resulting from a stimulation of
sensory nerves. Plato believed that the pain did not arise only from peripheral stimulation, but also by an
emotional experience of the soul.
