Abstract

The University Hospital of the Federal University of Santa Catarina implemented in October 1995 its Maternity, whose philosophy is the humanization of assistance to mother, baby and family. subordinate to provision of services to the educational role of the institution, transferring information and educating
the population, thus contributing to the creation of a culture of health.
