Abstract

The Institute of Health is one of the research institutes of the Direct Administration of the State of São Paulo of more recent emergence. It was created in 1969 with the aim of to point to state leaders, based on scientific knowledge, health
problems priorities for the population and the shortcomings and difficulties for services to meet them. Along with these studies, should the professionals of the Institute present alternative solutions to be implemented by health managers.
