My trajectory at SUS-SP and surrounding areas

Abstract

My interest in public health begins with degree, at the Faculty of Medicine of Botucatu, completed in 1975, influenced by teachers Cecilia Magaldi and Eurivaldo Sampaio de Almeida. During the residency in integral medicine at the Institute of Social Medicine at the State University of Rio de Janeiro (IMS-UERJ), between 1976 and 1977, I lived with Hésio Cordeiro and his team, when I had contact with a different reality of public health in São Paulo. Yet in Rio de Janeiro I specialized in occupational medicine and I worked at the Jornal do Brasil Medical Outpatient Clinic.
