Santa Marcelina Saúde, administrative and care management, a comprehensive and efficient model at the service of the SUS

Abstract

Santa Marcelina SaúdeI celebrates advances significant in the area of ​​public health provided for the 35 years
of history of the Single System of Health. Since its implementation in 1988, the SUS has played a key role in
promoting, prevention and health care for the population of the Zone East of the city of São Paulo, with a
strong presence due to government partnerships signed with the state and municipal health departments. In these
three and a half decades, it has consolidated itself as a system that seeks equity and universal access to health services.
