Medal of Honor and Merit for Public Management in Health “Walter Leser”

Abstract

Established by Decree No. 53,337, of 21 August 2008, the honor is a tribute to the people and entities,
national and foreign, whose work in the field of public health management has if distinguished, in a
notable or relevant way, and contributed for the development of the Single System of Health in the state
of São Paulo (SUS-SP). In its second edition, the “Walter Leser” Medal is awarded to 29 honorees who helped build and consolidate SUS-SP over 35 years. In the list the Next, personalities and institutions are related – the first four in memoriam.
