Abstract

This text seeks to show the daily life of Ivanice de Souza Silva, better known as Nice at Bar da Nice, located in the center of São
Paulo, in the territory of Cracolândia. In an unpretentious conversation, on a Saturday afternoon, in the bar itself, to the sound
of the samba circle from the bar next door, she talks about the different phases of her life, what she calls herself today, how she
became a merchant / bar owner (botequeira), the connections that it has been building over the years, with the people who frequent the bar, with the collectives that operate in the territory and in its bar, and how it has become a harm reducer. In a story full of feelings, she tries to convey the importance of the care process, of listening to others without judgment and of reducing harm, avoiding harm to oneself and to others.
