Abstract

The stories and genealogies of the 3D images contain a small but apparently significant omission: they do not suggest the extension of the use of 3D images for scientific purposes, military, medical and safety (ultrasound) in the past and present. This is a vast field, still little explored. Once you determine some of these various uses and practice persisted, making them part of the global development vision and spatial projection systems, the “return of the 3D” reveals that 3D never went away. It is, therefore, the return of 3D cinema commercial and popular entertainment that forces you to draw attention to the close alliance that has always existed between the entertainment industry and other industries of simulation, as well as between the observation and recording media, and surveillance and control media.
