Abstract

This paper aims to present to the reader aspects of the current debate about embryonic stem cells in our country. The text was developed based on a presentation showed at the XI Annual Scientific Meeting of the Butantan Institute, held on December 3, 2009 in Sao Paulo. The article shows the steps taken so far, given in order of the scientific integration and points to the need of expanding the generation of knowledge through the establishment of networks´research
