The use of the Satisfaction Survey as tool of Health Public Management: The Bragança Paulista municipality Experience

Abstract

The User Satisfaction Evaluation is an important assessment tool, which contributes heavily in the management of the National Health System, as it enables managers in the various hierarchical levels to measure the perception of the health users, in terms of access, quality and resolution of the offered actions and thus contribute to a broader vision in the planning of actions and health services. This research allowed information relevant to the Municipal Manager of Health of the municipality of Bragança Paulista, SP, concerning the current structure of primary care services, as well as knowing the main bottlenecks, thus enabling a broader vision as to the health needs of municipality users. Thus, it is understood that the option of performing the User Satisfaction Survey, as a complementary tool of evaluation, it was quite valid, enabling greater visibility to the municipality manager, in planning the actions.
