Abstract
It was investigated the professional health services experiences in the State of São Paulo in completing mandatory reporting of sexual violence against women. It was conducted a qualitative study on the case study type in six municipalities, public health services that met women who suffer sexual violence. 45 professionals were interviewed using a semi-structured script. In all municipalities, there was at least one service whose notification form was always filled. In general, the nursing professionals who used to filling the notification form in the services visited. The difficulties in filling the form were related to three aspects: a) the context in which the form was inserted in the service : one more task to be performed and the not institutionalization of care for women who suffer sexual violence, b) format and contents of the form: embarrassing questions several times repeated to very vulnerable women, and c ) how health professionals interact with women who suffer sexual violence : unprepared to address the violence issue. The filling of the form of sexual violence cases is a basic procedure to guide for prevention and combating actions to this problem. It was evidenced the need for training services and professionals to consider filling this form as part of comprehensive care to women who suffer sexual violence.
