Abstract
Despite the social advances achieved by the women in recent decades, still persist in the society unequal relations between the sexes,which have their maximum expression in sexual violence against women. Historically, sexual violence has been added to other forms of
violation of women's rights, such as domestic violence, the difference in pay in relation to men, the unfair distribution of income, the inadequate treatment received in health services, sexual harassment in the workplace and others. These discrimination and its invisibility
exacerbate the effects of physical, sexual and psychological violence against women.
