Resumo
Os autores fazem um estudo comparativo da ação de várias substâncias antitóxicas, verificando que a única que protegeu eficientemente os animais contra a intoxicação pelo tetracloreto de carbono, foi o xantinato de sódio, na dose de 100 mgrs. por 100 grs. de peso. Ao lado disso, verificaram, também, que o xantinato de sódio, quando empregado nesta dose, produz uma acentuada queda de peso nos animais de experiência.
