Resumo
É descrita uma variante de Salmonella typhimurium lactose-positiva, que ocorreu espontaneamente e em número elevado de casos no munícípío de São Paulo, S. P. É sugerida modificação dos mêtodos de isolamento e identificação presuntiva de enterobactérias, com a introdução de técnicas que não sejam exclusivamente baseadas na fermentação da lactose.
