Resumo
Usando-se a reação da neomicina com ninhidrina em meio glicerínico, em condições pré-estabelecídas, pode-se determinar rapidamente o teor de neomicina em um medicamento que a contenha. O método baseia-se na reação de neomícína com um reagente ninhidrina contendo glicerina: nestas condições, a reação é mais sensível e os resultados são reproduzíveis. A Lei de Beer é obedecida entre 4 e 40 ug de sulfato de neornícína por ml. Alguns interferentes foram estudados. Quando necessário uma prévia separação da neomicina antes da reação, um método de separação por cromatografia em camada delgada foi aplicado.
