Abstract

An excellent staining of the elastic fibers in a bluish black color is obtained when the solution of Werhoeff is used with lower concentrations of Hematoxilin. The muscular layer stains in green and the colagen fibers in pink as usually. The method was applied to sections from autopsy organs (kidney, lung, aorta).
