Ethical criteria

The ethical criteria of research must be respected. In this sense, the authors of original articles, quick communications, and systematic reviews/meta-analyses must specify, in METHODS, that the research was concluded in accordance with the standards required by the Helsinki Declaration and approved by the ethics committee recognized by the National Research Ethics Commission (Comissão Nacional de Ética em Pesquisa - Conep), linked to the National Health Council (Conselho Nacional de Saúde - CNS),  citing the code of that approval.

In the case of experiments on animals, the project must be approved by the Comissão de Ética no Uso de Animais - CEUA (Ethics Committee on Animal Use), recognized by the Conselho Nacional de Controle de Experimentação Animal (National Council for the Control of Animal Experimentation) of the Ministério de Ciência e Tecnologia e Inovação - Concea (Ministry of Science and Technology and Innovation).

The database name, the acronym and/or the number of the clinical trial, as well as the case number and the name of the ethics committee that approved the project, should be reported at the end of the "Abstract".
