Resumo
Os resíduos de pesticidas clorados foram determinados por processos de cromatografia a gas, com detectar de captura eletrônica em 59 amostras de águas de nascentes de poços, de superffcíe, e de algumas tratadas para abastecnnento. Os isõmeros alfa, beta e gama BHC foram encontrados em todas as amostras; DDT, em três, e traços de Aldrín, em apenas uma. Os níveis de BHC total (soma dos isômeros) foram da ordem de 0,002 mg/l. Esses níveis mostram que a contaminação existente em águas, na região da capital de São Paulo, não é grande até o momento.
