Resumo
Se estudiaron 100 especímenes de suelo, preferentemente de zonas próximas a Ias márgenes del Río Chama, incluyendo regiones de diversas características climáticas y suelos de diferente naturaleza, Clostridium botulinum tipo A fué demostrado en tres especímenes de El Vigia y tipo D en dos especímenes de Ias zonas vecínas a Ejido y Estánquez respectivamente. El hecho de que el botulismo humano ó animal no ha sido descrito en el país puede atríbuírse a fallas de diagnóstico y se sugiere su investigacíón en enfermedades con síntomas compatibles con él.
