Abstract

In the study of several kinds of Mononchus it was verified that they live on worms and protozoa. In the two specimens found in São Paulo, one in a kitchen-garden, and the other in a pot of an ornamental plant, both of them as examples of its predaceous character, a nematode of regular size was seen in the male bowel. In the female bowel there were found three bodies, two of them looking like amoeba, and the third one resembling a nema tail. Unfortunately, the author has not a complete literature concerning the Mononchus to identify these species.
