Abstract

For the first time, forty sporadic cases of non epidemic infectious hepatitis of fulminant fatal form have been studied, according to Lucké & Mallory's criteria (1946). The concept of subacute form is limited to the 50 called precocious subacute hepatitis (Stokes & Miller, 1946), that is, at the early stage of the evolution and without cirrhotic alterations. It is presented also a study of the degeneration, necrosis and regeneration of the liver cells, the bile duct proliferation, the sinusoidal appearance, the intersticial infiltration, arteries and veins and reticular frame.
