Abstract
Samples of three hundred sixteen of peanut sweet bars were analysed for determination of the amount of aflatoxins. They were taken out from 4 different marks and two types as called "gibi"(sweet) and "GT" (cream). This samples were collected weekly since January to December 1988, in industries and storehouses from Campinas city where there are many factories processing peanut, with large, medium and small capacity. Thin-layer chromatography was employed for determination of aflatoxins. Aflatoxins were. detected in 205 samples (64,95%) ranged from4 to 195 µg/kg. These 205 samples, 163 (51,58%) had concentation higher than those tolerated by pertinent Brazilian legislation (30 µg/kg).
