Abstract

The discovery that other serum proteins are glycated in pathways analogous to hemoglobin has aroused much interest in their clinical application. Glycated albumin has been indicated as an index for glycemic control in a period of two, three weeks, a period shorter than that of glycated hemoglobin, but sufficient to be adopted as a control.
