Abstract
The passive hemagglutination test for leptospirosis was compared with the microscopic seroagglutination test in 437 sera from 192 patients suspected
to have leptospirosis, admitted to a hospital for infectious diseases in São Paulo City, Brazil. Passive hemagglutination assay demonstrated significant association with the microscopic seroagglutination test, revealing itself as an excellent alternative díagnostie method.
