Abstract
Tire pancreatin digestion method was used for detection of filth in 52 samples of "Maizena" biscuits and 57 samples of cream cracker sold in São Paulo city. It was found that 100% of cream cracker biscuits had had unhealthy handling in their manufacture because they showed insect fragments and 3.5% were unfit for human, consumption because they showed rodent hairs. Of tire "Maizena" biscuits, 96.15% had had unhealthy handling since they contained insect filth and 5.77% were unfit for human consumption because they contained rodent hairs, Further investigations by alternative methods are suggested.
