Abstract
Four methods for nitrate determination in natural waters were employed in
water samples from 10 wells drilled in Metropolitan São Paulo. The operational problems and the occurrence of interference were examined for each of the four methods. The phenoldisulfonic acid method is suggested for routine analysis of natural water samples.
