Abstract
In vitro citotoxic test using agar diffusion method was perfomed in medi-
cal practice, hospitalar and others materials. The test was carried out in six celllines and one primary cuIture of chick embryo cells. In 20 tested materiaIs the chick embryo cells showed best sensibility following by RC-IAL (rabbit kidney) and HeLa celllines. The citotoxic effect was evaluated by presence and size of diameters of diffused halos compared with controls. Because of opperacional difficuIties in handling primary cuItures we suggest that lhe use of citotoxic method assaying these materiais will be done in duplicate plates with RC-IAL and/or HeLa celllines.
