Abstract

We investigated the mechanism of the Jaffé reaction for the determination of creatinine by studying the kinetic and end-point reactions. The magnitude of interference of the physical constants (time and temperature) and the hyperglycemia in the cquilibrium of the reac-
tion has been studied besides the consequent shifts in its spectrum, showing a maximum absorbance at 490 nm.
