Abstract

Passíve harnagglutinating reaction was used to evaluate the hurnoral immune response against polysaccharide C of two populational groups, one of the São Paulo metropolítan area and another of Ipatinga, M_ G., both in Brazil, after vaccination with antí-group C meningococcal vaccine. Sarne techic was used to detect the same type of antibodies in patients wich clinical and laboratory diagnosis of meningococcal meníngitís, in order to evaluate its specificity as a díagnosis method. The results confirmed the specificity of this reaction.
