Abstract
A total of 412 human sera collected in São Paulo City, from March to July 1976 were studied for hemagglutination-inhibiting antibodies to influenza virus A/Swine/Wisconsin/l/67 (Hsw1N1), A/Mayo Clinic/103/74 (HswNl) and A/São Paulo/2/76 (H3N2). As expected, considerably higher titers of antibodies to swine influenza-like virus were found in a significantly greater number of persons born before 1926. Only few persons younger than 40 years showed those antibodies, but the titers never were higher than 1:40.
