The publication of errata and retractions, when necessary, will be carried out in accordance with the Retraction Guidelines from the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Thus, RIAL adheres to international standards to ensure the maintenance of integrity and trust in the publication of its contents.

Therefore, in exceptional situations, an article may be modified considering:

1. Correction of Article: Minor errors identified after publication may be corrected with a revised version of the article or a note of correction (errata), detailing the changes, addition or deletion of data and their reasons.
2. Retraction of Articles: This is a mechanism to alert that the research presents some problem or flaw aimed at correcting the record and scientific memory. It may be partial (only a section retracted) or total when serious flaws are identified that significantly affect the results or conclusions, whether due to honest errors, research misconduct, duplication, or plagiarism. Retractions will be clearly indicated and linked to the original article.

The decision to correct or retract will be based on a thorough evaluation by the editorial team and consultation with experts whenever necessary.
