Mission

The Instituto Adolfo Lutz Journal (RIAL) aims to be a vehicle for disseminating knowledge and scientific research in the field of public health. Committed to promoting the health and well-being of the population, RIAL seeks to publish relevant studies that contribute to the advancement of epidemiology and collective health, as well as the enhancement of actions for promotion, prevention, monitoring, and control of public health issues and diseases.

Main Objectives

RIAL encourages the production and dissemination of original articles, reviews, and case studies addressing contemporary challenges in public health. It aims to RIAL promote the exchange of information among researchers, health professionals, and the general public, strengthening awareness about health issues.

Through the publication of high-quality articles, RIAL seeks to influence health policies by providing data and evidence that can be applied to improve health surveillance actions and other aspects related to public health. It remains at the forefront of scientific discoveries, presenting innovative research and updates on emerging trends in the field of public health. The Instituto Adolfo Lutz Journal positions itself as a reference, fostering constructive and grounded debate, which aims not only to inform but also to transform the reality of public health in Brazil and worldwide. In doing so, it serves as a bridge between academia and society, enhancing the capacity to respond to the health challenges we face.

Scope

The Instituto Adolfo Lutz Journal (RIAL) is an online publication (ISSN 1983-3814), operating a continuous publication system of articles within a single annual volume, with its abbreviated title being Rev. Inst. Adolfo Lutz, which should be used in bibliographies, footnotes, references, and bibliographic captions.

The uniqueness of RIAL lies in its interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary nature, covering various aspects of Public Health across four major areas of knowledge: Agricultural Sciences, Biological Sciences, Health Sciences, and Engineering, as well as their respective related fields and subfields.

RIAL is peer-reviewed and open to contributions from national and foreign authors, published in Portuguese, and also accepting articles in English and Spanish.

The Journal has a special interest in contributions related to laboratory activities in health surveillance and related areas, developed by Research Institutes, Central Public Health Laboratories (LACEN), and universities both domestically and internationally, conducted with scientific rigor and that can be replicated and generalized.
