Abstract
Bacteriological tests of 846 cerebrospínal fluids from patients suspected of bacteríal meningitis were compared with those of counterimmunoelectrophoresis ín ceIlulose acetate. There was an agreement of 83.06% when group C Neisseria meningitidis had been ísolated, while ín meningitis with other bacterial etiology was 99%, which shows the counter-ímmuno-electrophoresis reaction to be spccifíc.
