Construction of an instrument of evaluation for training courses in leprosy
Abstract
Since 1968 the Lauro de Souza Lima Institute (ILSL) offers training in leprosy for health professionals admitted in the leprosy program, maintaining routine courses of Leprosy, Prevention of Incapacities and Rehabilitation. The objective is to build an on-line system to evaluate these courses, with theelaboration of an instrument, constructed under the referential of actions and activities of the Leprosy Elimination Program of the Ministry of Health of Brazil. It will be sent by e-mail to the professionals who participated t in he courses, employing data from registers obtained from the Section of Training and Teaching of the ILSL/Bauru/São Paulo during the period from 2005 to 2007, in order to build a databank. To insert this instrument in an on-line system, data processing services will be used. The on-line system was built using the PHP programming language with the HTML, hosted in the website of ILSL (http://www.ilsl.br/questionario), therefore using a ILSL network already available. It contained five pages: invitation to participate; individual authentication; Informed and signed consent; structured questionnaire and confirmation of saving of data. The data was automatically stored in the ILSL system for analysis. In preliminary evaluation this system proved to be functional.
