Abstract
It was described the leaf of the following species: Baccharis trimera DC (carqueja), Stevia rebaudiana Bert. (stevia), Tagetes cf patula L. (cravo de defunto) e Vernonia polyanthes Less (assa-peixe). It was observed that these species follows the general pattern of the family. Details of glandular hairs, collenchyma, fibres, stone cells, papillas and secretory glands were fundamental to the diagnosis.
