Abstract

An outbreak involving sixteen people was investigated in march 01' 1997 in the city 01'Passos-MG-. Fourteen 01'them (87,5%) became ill with sickness, vomiting, dizziness, fever, abdominal pain and diarrhoea. According to the investigation the food involved was an iced pie served as dessert. The analysis showed that the food poisoning was due to the simultaneous presence of staphylococcal enterotoxins C, D and Salmonella enteritidis
