Abstract

From studies about sandflies fauna composition in endemic areas for the American Cutaneous Leishmaniasis in São Paulo State, the authors describe the finding of one male of Lutzomyia (Pintomyia) damascenoi, Mangabeira, 1941 collected in Morro do Diabo Forest Reserve which is located in Teodoro Sampaio County. This is the first record of this sandfly specie out of Amazonic area.
