Abstract

The presence of Planorbidae molluscs was measured in a natural pond of Londrina country, state of Paraná, Brazil. The predominant species were Biom phalaria tenagophila and Pomacea sp. which showed a similar variation. The high er frequencies were observed from January to March and from October to December. These periods were characterized by high mean temperatures and railfall. No evidence - was found which sug es ted competition between Biomphularia teno.tt ophilo. and Pomacea sp.
