Resumo
Foi utilizada a técnica de anticorpos não marcados peroxidase-antiperoxidase em fragmentos de tecido hepático para a detecção de antígeno de superfície da hepatite B. Em confronto com a imunofluorescência, esta reação apresenta as vantagens de aplicabilidade em tecidos fixados e emblocados rotineiramente, análise à microscopia óptica ou eletrônica, visualização de detalhes morfológicos do tecido por contracorantes, além de manutenção da reação por um tempo indefenido. A utilização, neste estudo, de arsenal imunológico totalmente produzido nos laboratórios do Instituto Adolfo Lutz, São Paulo, Brasil, é um importante pa ss o para a aplicabilidade deste método na rotina diagnóstica, em nosso meio.
