Abstract

To development programs of monitoring residues of pesticides in foods, the multiresidue methods are the
choice, because many kind of pesticide are determined with only one extraction. However, to evaluate the
analytical process, the main traits are: especificity, selectivity, linearity, limits of detection, limits of
quantification, rudgeness, precision and accuracy, being the two last ones, the main parameters to estimate
the errors and variations included in the process. In this work, recovery assays of some organohalogenate
pesticides were made in apples in 1 LOQ and 5 LOQ of each pesticide to verify the accuracy and precision
of method. The pesticides were determined by gas chromatographic with electron capture detector, and
the results showed that, the recovery obtained were between 74% and 111%, and variation coefficients
between 5 % and 14 %, evidenced that the values are in the range recommended by literature.
